Although there are tons of useful benefits of cannabis at the same time it can leave some negative effects on human health. Marijuana a very common and most used drug, which comes from the cannabis plant can affect a human in different ways. People smoke it, use it in food items or beverages as it is famous for the pleasure after the use of this drug.  

But what people do not know is Cannabis can leave some really bad effects on both mental and physical health. Consuming an excessive amount of cannabis can affect brain, bones, heart, lungs health and can damage various organs inside your body.

It may not be so much harmful to the health as compared to the excessive use of it through smoking. People who use cannabis excessively and smoke a lot experience a loss of appetite. As well as they also claimed to experience a burning sensation in the mouth and throat with the smoking of cannabis.

Another way in which smoking cannabis can affect health negatively is by damaging the immune system. Smoking cannabis regularly weakens the immune system, which means a person is an easy victim to various infections. 

People with not-so-active immunity are more prone to become targeted with smoking cannabis. Poor immunity means you have no energy left to fight against new diseases. A poor immune system can lead to some serious health issues.

Although we are talking about the physical side-effects of smoking cannabis. At the same time, it can affect mental health as well. The excessive smoking of cannabis can make a person’s memory weak to an extent that at a certain point a person may even lose memory completely.

People consider smoking cannabis more relaxing and a pleasant feeling. But what they do not know is, how much damage it is causing to the brain cells.

As cannabis contains CBD and THC, which are considered to treat various health issues. At the same time, THC is considered more addictive, which badly affects the brain and contributes to releasing a large amount of dopamine. Dopamine is one of the natural chemicals that promotes happiness and “feel-good” feeling. 

The decrease in dopamine makes a person anxious, promotes insomnia, and even makes a person depressed. 

5.    Effects on Circulation and Heart Health

A lot of negative effects of smoking cannabis have already been discussed but another major issue that a cannabis user experience is poor heart health. The excessive use or smoking of cannabis can increase heart rate, which becomes a common reason for heart attacks. It can also affect the circulation of blood in the body and can even block the smooth circulation of blood. 

6.    Respiratory Effects

Like a normal cigarette affects the lungs and damage the respiratory system, in a similar way smoking cannabis can also damage. Because cannabis is also a mixture of various chemicals that when inhaled directly reach the lungs.

The cannabis smoker usually experiences coughing, breath shorting, or fatigue. It is all because chemicals like ammonia and hydrogen cyanide affect the lungs. It can also leave to asthma and some serious breathing issues.
