First, let us discuss the mistakes, and then along with them, we will discuss their solutions too.

Big Mistakes in the IELTS

So the points are:-

  1. The first mistake students do is that they lack and that I have told earlier also. The solution is to be confident and not get panic and solve the paper calmly. Try the breathing exercise before going to the examination room.
  2. The second mistake students do is that they don’t know the exam pattern and sometimes come unprepared. So, the solution is to practice lots and lots of papers and to be prepared for the best and the worst both.
  3. Don’t try to give answers in a yes or a no. The checker wants to check your English so write a good length of the answer.
  4. Don’t remain silent for an answer you don’t know because that can look bad. Instead, try to give an idea or opinion related to that thing and whatever comes to your mind at that time related to the topic.
  5. Also don’t go too off-topic. Give your ideas and opinions according to the topic being given to you.
  6. Don’t use the wrong vocabulary. If you don’t know about a particular word, it’s better to not use it.
  7. Don’t repeat the same words again and again. Instead, look for new words which have the same meaning.
  8. Don’t pronounce any word wrongly. If you don’t know the word then it’s better to not use it and look for its alternate word.
