How to Get the Better Shaving Experience?

Wet shaving using blades and lubricating products is compared to dry shaving using an electric shaver. Each method has its advantages and disadvantages. Which is best for you?

What is Wet Shaving?

What exactly is “wet shave”? Essentially, a wet shave uses sharp edges and water to remove hair. It is basically all because of manual shaver, not an electric shaver. Using water with manual shaver makes the product to lubricate and help to protect the skin. Obviously, manual shavers are much longer than electric shavers. This is a quick overview of blade shavers.

What is Dry shave?

Dry shaving refers to the way of shaving using best shavers for women or battery-powered razors to drive the motors that power the blade system. Normally, you don’t need lubrication; just apply the razor to dry (but clean) skin. There are two basic types of electric shavers, namely “rotary” and “foil”.

Straight Edge (“Cut Throat”) Razors

With the development of “cut-throat” razors (also known as straight razors), “modern” razors can be traced back to the late 1600s. The straight razor is the way most people shave for about 200 years. The “throat cut” razor represents the ultimate “manual” shave-the razor must control every aspect, from the razor’s fixed angle to the geometry of the blade. “Cut Throat” razors require regular and careful maintenance. There are also razors that look like cut-throat razors but use replaceable blades. Barbers often use them because there is no need to maintain the blades. Some state or local laws may require barbers to use these tools.

Double Edge Razors

People generally start feeling safety razor as double edge blade and razor.

  • The Double Edge (DE) shaver unit is usually constructed in one of three ways:
  • The three-piece double-edged razor is the easiest to manufacture. It consists of a handle, a bottom plate and a head or cap.
  • The soleplate of the two-piece DE shaver is permanently mounted on the handle.
  • A “twist open” (sometimes called a “butterfly”) razor was the most common type before the advent of blade razors: the top of the razor had two small doors that could be opened to accommodate the blade.

Cassette razor

In the late 1970s, this “modern” manual razor came out, which coincided with the expiration of profitable patents for certain double-edged technologies. Obviously, the most notable feature of modern razors is the multiple blades in the dedicated blade holder.

Blade Technology

There is an importance of blades design and technology used by the company whether you are using a manual razor or best electric shavers in India.

  1. The placement angle of the blade edge in the cartridge (or the angle manually maintained by a shaver other than a blade razor) can make a big difference in shave quality.
  2. The “clarity” of the blade edge. For different ink cartridges of the same type, the edges may be polished to a certain degree of “clarity”, and may even be different.
  3. Non-stick coatings are usually applied to the edge of the blade to provide a more comfortable cutting effect.
