Vastu for Shops

If you have a shop or business and you want growth and prosperity in your business then Vastu Shastra can surely help you in it. Weight balance is considered as the most important factor in Vastu shastra. Weight imbalance can cause a reduction in profit or revenue in the business.

Vastu for the north-facing shop:

It is very easy to design north-facing and east-facing shops as per the Vastu shastra. The weight balance can be easily done in north-facing shops as compared to west or south facing shops. If your shop is north-facing then the shutter will come in the north-east portion of the shop as the north-east direction will not have much weight. The north direction symbolizes God Kubera, who is the god of money. North-facing shops will have good business growth and good profit in the business; also it causes expansion of the business. It is better to have north-facing or east-facing shops for good business.

Rules you should follow for north-facing shops are:

  • The shop should be rectangular shaped or square-shaped.

  • You should keep heavyweight items in the south-east. Less weight can be kept in the south-east direction and least weight in the north-west direction.

  • Try to avoid keeping materials in the north-east direction or you can keep very little weight in that direction. This will ensure a proper weight balance in the shop.

  • The cashier should face east or the north direction (east is better). The cashier should not sit in any corner of the shop. The cashier should sit near the south-west direction.

  • Generally, the shopkeepers keep the photo of any god or goddess in the shop. The photo should not be placed in the north-east or the south-west direction. You can keep it anywhere else.

  • If there is a need to place steps in the shop then it should be in the north-east area. Also, the shape of the steps should be square or rectangle, no other shapes like a circle or semicircle.

  • The showcase should be kept on the south or north side. East direction for the showcase should be avoided. Or lightweight things can be kept on the north side.

  • The shop should be a bit above from the level of the road. The height of 3 feet will be good from the ground level.

  • You can place small ventilation on the east side this will bring a lot of positivity in the shop.

Vastu for the east-facing shop:

  • You should keep heavy materials in the south-west direction. South-east is the second direction for keeping materials and north-west is the third direction.

  • Least weight materials should be kept in the north-east direction.

  • The shutter of the shop should be on the east or north side.

  • The shop lever should be higher than the road level.

  • The cash box should be in the south-west direction not in any other corner. This is a very important factor.

  • The first preference for the owner sitting position is towards the east direction. In case this is not possible because of some reason then the owner can sit in a north-facing direction.

  • The steps for the shop should be in a north-east direction.

  • The showcase should be avoided in the east and the north direction. It can be kept in the west and south direction. The north-east direction for the showcase is the most dangerous.

  • The aim of the shopkeeper should be to provide quality products to its customers. The product should be value for money.

Vastu for the west-facing shop:

Vastu for west-facing shops is difficult to design as compared to other directions. For example, according to Vastu-shastra, the road level should be higher than the shop level. But generally, the shop owners want their shop at a higher level than the road to avoid dust, dirt, and rain.

Some tips for the shop owners having a west-facing shop:

  • The road level should be higher and the shop level should be lower.

  • The shape of the shop should be square or rectangular. No other shapes.

  • The photo of the god or goddess should be kept in the north-west direction, not in any other direction.

  • You can keep more weighted objects in the south-west direction. The next direction for keeping weight is the south-east direction and another north-west.

  • You should keep the least weight objects in the north-east direction to keep the proper weight blanched.

  • The shutter of the shop should be in a north-west direction. This is considered the positive side of the shop.

  • The cash box should be in the south-west corner and the cashier should sit while facing the north direction.

  • The steps should be positive faced. It means it should be in the northwest direction near the shutter. The steps should be rectangular or square-shaped. No other shapes like semi-circle or oval.

  • You should not keep the showcase in the north-east direction; this is a very important factor. However, you can keep light-weighted objects in the north-east direction. You can keep the showcase in the west or south direction.

  • Small ventilation should be made in the north or east direction. This will bring positivity in the shop. This will increase revenue or profit.
